Gloria A. Weber, 84, of Fairbury passed away at 7:00 pm, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury with Pastor Spencer Homan officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm, Monday, June 29, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Gloria was born May 7, 1925 in Pontiac the daughter of Emil and Reba (Hill) Masso. She married William R. Weber on June 18, 1944 in Chenoa.
Survivors include; four sons; Dennis (Linda) Weber, Fairbury, Bruce (Terri) Weber, Fairbury, Jeff (Lynette) Weber, Watseka, Randy (Lori) Weber, Fairbury, two sisters; Joyce (Melvin) Ringenberg and Marilyn (Eugene) Kauffman, both of Chenoa, eleven grandchildren; Shelley (Dirk) Schilling, Steve Weber, Kristen (Brandon) Galloway, Chip Weber, Heidi (Kevin) Kafer, Chad (Rae) Weber, Abbey (Nate) Schlichte, Jamie Weber, Tess (Dustin) Popejoy, Taylor Weber, R.J. Weber, two step grandchildren; Jordan and Jared Acklin, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Dorothy "Pudge" Cullop, one son; Wm. Terry Weber and one grandson; Sean William Weber.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Prairie Central Boys and Girls Club, Fairbury.
Glo was a 1943 graduate of Chenoa H.S., and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury. She was instrumental in the building and designing of The Weber apartment buildings in Fairbury and Watseka and the building of the "Old Susannah" Restaurant and Bowling Alley, Fairbury.
She enjoyed music, china painting, bridge club, golf and bowling with her friends and in her spare time Glo enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gloria was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
