Golda I Nims' Obituary
Golda I. Nims, 88, Vandalia and formerly of Fairbury died at 5:35 pm Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Vandalia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Vandalia.
A graveside VFW Ladies Auxiliary service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 30, 2011 at Avoca Twp. Cemetery, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nims was born October 22, 1922 in Missouri Valley, IA the daughter of Alva Ray and Nervesta Walters Sales. She married Roland L. "Hap" Nims on December 18, 1943 in Henderson, IA. He died on September 4, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Nims, Vandalia, IL, one brother, Carl Sales, Twin Peaks, CA, three grandsons, Jeffrey Raber, Donald Campbell and Matthew Campbell, and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one sister.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Ladies VFW Auxiliary or a Hospice Program of their choice.
