Obituary
Greta Ann Aupperle, 81, Fairbury died at 8:29 pm Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her residence, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury with Pastor George Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggest memorials be given to the OSF Hospice, Pontiac or the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury.
Mrs. Aupperle was born April 25, 1933 in Streator, IL the daughter of Ray LaVon and Hazel Frieda Saemisch Ellis. She married Elias E. Aupperle on January 16, 1955 in Long Point, IL. He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are four sons, Dennis R. (Cindy) Aupperle, Princeville, IL, Ronald E. (Vicki) Aupperle, Pontiac, IL, Robert A. (Kristi) Aupperle, Towanda, IL, Mark D. (Kristi) Aupperle, Leroy, IL, two daughters, Beth A. (Paul A.) Froidcoeur, Minooka, IL, Linda S. (Pete) Bergstrom, Monticello, IL, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister, Donna (Merle) Murray, Normal, IL.
Mrs. Aupperle was a homemaker and had formerly worked at the Walton's Department Store, Fairbury. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury, Rural Youth Group, Country Couples and a fifty year member of the Home Extension.
Greta will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
