Harlan Lee Elson, 86, of Chenoa, passed away at 11:20 pm, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Christ Community Church of Chenoa; with Pastor Duane Otto officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; and one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the church in Chenoa. Memorials may be directed to Christ Community Church, Chenoa or Chenoa Ambulance Service Association.

Harlan was born December 8, 1932 in Normal the son of Lester and Gladys (Peden) Elson. He married Camille Dutcher on November 11, 1961 in Rochelle. She passed away on May 16, 2014.  His parents and one brother, Lyndal Elson also preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Terri Caldwell of LeRoy; one son Doug (Patty) Elson of Gurnee; three grandchildren, Alex (Annie) Caldwell of Granger, IN; Jessica Elson of Tampa, FL; and Jenny Elson of Gurnee.

Mr. Elson was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church of Chenoa where he served as Deacon and Elder.  He was the owner - operator of Elson Water Conditioning in Chenoa from 1962 to 2006.  Harlan was very active in his community of Chenoa, serving on various boards and organizations.  His servant's heart and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
