Obituary
Harlan J. Schuler, 83, of Colfax, passed away at 6:23 am, Friday, August 14, 2009 at Heritage Manor, Colfax.
Funeral services will be 4 pm, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Colfax with Pastor Connie Frase officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 3:45 pm prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Harlan was born July 25, 1926 in rural Colfax, the son of Amos and Phoebe (Hadaway) Schuler. He married Patricia Weeks on May 22, 1948 in Colfax. She passed away July 14, 1987.
Survivors include; one son; Andrew (Wanda) Schuler, Lexington, two daughters; Joy Ralston, Normal and Janice Schuler, Winfield, one brother; Loren (Shirley) Schuler, Colfax, seven grandchildren; Mark, Jaye and Eric Schuler, Scott and Kristy Ralston, Elizabeth and Margaret Bruce.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brother and sister.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax.
Harlan was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and socializing with his monthly card club friends.
