Harold Richard Eyer, 84, of Colfax, passed away February 28, 2009 at 1:30 am at Heritage Manor in Colfax.
Funeral will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Stephen Goodwin will be officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor where military honors will be performed by the Davis Kerber American Legion.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Harold was born August 24, 1924 in Fisher, the son of Daniel A. and Matilda Springer Eyer. They preceded him in death. He married Margery R. Hinrichsen on Nov. 22, 1952, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. She survives. Also surviving are one son Michael J. (Rona) Eyer of Bloomington; one daughter, Kay L. (Terry) Bose of Anchor; grandchildren, Nicole Coate, Tony Eyer, Emily Eyer, Lindsay Bose and Dana Bose; one great grandson, Noah Coate; one brother, Chet (Gladys) Eyer of Anchor and one sister, Thelma Schleeter of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by one brother Orville Eyer.
Harold was a farmer in the Anchor area. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor where he was a member of the council and a 50 year member of Davis Kerber American Legion, Colfax and VFW.
The family suggest memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Window Fund or Cancer Research.
