Harold Kuntz, 92, of Fairbury, died August 1, 2007 at 6:01PM at Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 5-7:00PM at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The Rosary will be recited at 4:45PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 9:30AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury with the Reverend Father Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Strawn.
Memorials may be made to his church, the Sight First of the Lion's Club, OSF Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
Harold was born October 4, 1914 in Strawn the son of William and Elizabeth Egges Kuntz. He married Mary Trainor on February 12, 1949 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Strawn. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters Kathleen (Richard) Pollock of Bloomington and Paula Kuntz of Lisle. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Brian (Jody) Pollock of Tremont and Kristen (Paul) Winter of East Peoria. There are three great grandchildren, Stacey and Jack Pollock and Jacob Winter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Raymond and Virgil.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and St. John's Knights of Columbus. He is a former member if Indian Creek Golf Course, Fairbury Lion's Club, and the Pontiac Elks. He drove for the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. Harold was a lifetime farmer in the Fairbury Strawn Area.
