Obituary
Harry Everett Martin, 84, Chenoa, died at 7:00 am Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Mr. Martin requested that no memorial service be held. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be given to the United Methodist Church of Chenoa.
Mr. Martin was born May 3, 1924 in Chenoa, IL the son of Ralph Keady and Zelphia Vermillion Martin. He married Bessie Jewel "Judy" Colvin on August 13, 1944 in Pontiac. She survives in Chenoa.
Also surviving is a daughter, Sandra (John) Friedmansky, Colfax: two grandchildren, Alan Friedmansky, Troy, IL; Julie Friedmansky, Arrowsmith, IL and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Martin served overseas in the US Army during WWII. He later worked as a foreman at Adler Roofing Company, Joliet. He was a lifetime member of the Roofers Union Local #11, Westchester.
