Obituary
Colfax – Helen M. Lage, 92, of Colfax formerly of Anchor, passed away at 7:01pm, August 28, 2012, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 31, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor. The Reverend Stephen Goodwin will be officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00am on Friday also at the church.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the donor's choice of charity.
Helen was born March 11, 1920, in Lawndale Township the daughter of Henry and Marie Miller Ficken.
She married Merlin Lage on March 2, 1947, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lawndale Township. He died August 22, 2010, in Colfax.
Surviving are brother-in-law, Leo (Dorothy) Lage, sister-in-law, Esther Ficken both of Gibson City, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, Dorcas Society, Friendship Club, and Gibson City Hospital Auxiliary.
