Obituary
Helen Lehman Williamson, 96, of Durham, NC died peacefully, February 8, 2008.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Forrest, IL the daughter of Herman and Sophia Hibsch Lehman. She earned a master's degree in education in Chicago, IL. She taught in the Illinois public schools for over 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit G. Williamson, in 1981. Mrs. Williamson moved to Durham, NC in 1997 to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
She is survived by her son, Dr. David Williamson and his wife Elaine of Durham; grandchildren, Matthew Williamson and wife Laurie, john Williamson and wife Angela, Caryn Utberg Byrd and husband Kenneth, Amy Utberg, Lori Utberg Solvason and husband Steve, and Julie Utberg Brookhart and husband Ben; and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 pm Saturday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the local Habitat for Humanity or your local Humane Society, two of her favorite charities.
