Henry G. Friedman, 88, Fairbury, died at 12:40 pm Friday, April 26, 2019 at Good Samaritan Home, Pontiac.

His funeral will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating.  Burial will be in the North Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Forrest.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Wednesday at the church.  The family suggests memorials be given to the charity of their choice.

Mr. Friedman was born January 4, 1931 in rural Cropsey, IL the son of Antone and Olive Bachtold Friedman.  He married Marjorie Kyburz on July 5, 1953 in Forrest.  She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include his children, David (Wynne) Friedman, Jean Ann (Mike) Wenger, Curtis (Robin) Friedman, all of Fairbury, Mark (Crystal) Friedman, Cape Fair, MO, Teri Kidd, Chenoa, Scott (Anita) Friedman, Fairbury, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Bertha Sharp, Chatsworth, Hazel Johnson, Fairbury, 3 brothers, John Friedman, Piper City, Alvin (Doris) Friedman, South Fort Myers, FL, Glen (Carol) Friedman, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by 1 sister, Pearl Meister, 4 brothers, Harold, Robert, Charles and Richard Friedman, 1 grandson, Weston Friedman and 1 granddaughter, Derica Friedman.

Mr. Friedman served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He was a grain farmer and farm mechanic for 56 years.  His faith and family were the pillars in his life and he was a member of the Forrest Apostolic Christian church.
