Homer Elburn Lobdell's Obituary
Colfax: Homer Elburn Lobdell, 96, Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Champaign and Colfax died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Hospice House, Fort Myers.
Memorial services will be 1:30pm Friday, April 13, 2007 with a visitation from 1 to 1:30 pm at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax with the Rev. Diane Yentes officiating. Inurnment will be at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Mr. Lobdell was born December 10, 1910 at Weston, IL. The son of William and Lena Kruse Lobdell. He married Lois Eggenberger April 30, 1936 in Aberdeen, SD. She died October 15, 1988.
Surviving are one daughter; Lucinda (John Blair) Compratt, Champaign, one son; Marc (Susan) Lobdell, Ft. Myers, FL, two sisters; Gladys Wene, Watseka, and Dorothy Wissmiller, Bloomington. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Lobdell had farmed in the Colfax area for nearly 70 years.
The family suggests memorials be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
