Howard Raymond Brogan, 80, Fairbury, died at 9:28 pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
A memorial gathering will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Fairbury VFW Post #9789, 205 East Locust St, Fairbury, IL with full military rites at 3:00 pm. The family suggest memorials be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Brogan was born January 24, 1934 in Colby, KS the son of Otis and Opal White Brogan. He married Lillian Mason in 1957 in Colby, KS. She survives in East Peoria, IL.
Other survivors include 4 sons, Howard (Robyn) Brogan, Forrest, IL, Dennis Brogan, Pontiac, IL, Frank (LaVonda) Brogan, Colorado, Michael Brogan, Fairbury, IL, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Isabelle Williams, Colorado Springs, CO and Florence Inman, Colby, KS.
He is preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister and 1 son.
Mr. Brogan served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had been employed at Stoller & Maurer Construction, Fairbury and later retired from Vissering Construction, Streator.
