Pontiac – Ida Ruth Glose, 99 of Pontiac, passed away on January 9, 2009, at 8:00a.m. at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00p.m. at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Randy Perry will be officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, IN.
Mrs. Glose was born December 23, 1909 in Rensselaer, IN the daughter of Clifford and Letha Rinehart Parkinson. They preceded her in death. She married Ralph C. Glose on September 9, 1937 in Rensselaer, IN. He passed away July 20, 1985.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Lee (Gary) Honegger of Forrest; grandchildren, Steven (Mary) Honegger of Bethesda, MD, David (Cindy) Honegger of McLean, Darren (Debra) Honegger of Springboro, OH, Michael (Mary) Honegger of Third Lake, and Amy (Clint) Schaffer of Fisher, four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Ida was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Mrs. Glose graduated from DePauw in 1932 with a BA. She was a clerk in her father's store and worked part-time for Farm Bureau Cooperative.
She is a member of the United Methodist Church in Pontiac and Daughters of the American Revolution.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
