Obituary
Irma E. Fillmore, 89, Colfax died at 6:01pm Monday, October 10, 2011 at Provena Cor Mariae, Rockford, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 14, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax with Rev. Greg Summers officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00am Friday at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Colfax Christian Church.
Mrs. Fillmore was born February 26, 1922 in Carthage, IL the daughter of Rueben and Nola Ruddell Brown. She married Robert Locher on May 4, 1950 in Peoria, IL. He died on March 24, 1971. She then married Robert Fillmore, July 1982, he died in January 1984.
Surviving is a daughter, Brenda (Mike) Moore, Rockford, IL; three grandchildren, Meghan, Jeffrey and Jonathan Moore; two brothers, Ira (Marileen) Brown, Basco, IL, Rueben Brown, Carthage, IL; one sister, Geneva Dulaney, Hamilton, IL.
She is preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and one infant daughter.
Mrs. Fillmore had worked as a cook at Illinois State University, Normal until her retirement. She was a member of the Colfax Christian Church; the Hustlers Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.
