Irwin Wilson, 92 of Chenoa died at 9:05 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at, Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa; with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.  There will be a private family funeral prior to the service at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Chenoa Baptist Church.

Irwin was born March 5, 1928 in Fonthill, KY, the son of Willie Roe and Lula (Owen) Wilson.  He married Mary Rose Janacek on March 7, 1953 in Chicago. His wife, Mary preceded him in death September 28, 2015.  His parents, six sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Donald Wilson of Pontiac; Bonnie (Kenneth) Brown of Heyworth; Anne Sporrer of Pontiac; one brother, William (Norma) Wilson of Chenoa; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Irwin was a member of the Chenoa Baptist Church.  He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in the US Army during the Korean War. He was owner-operator of Wilson's West Side Antique and Furniture in Chenoa for many years.  He was an avid dirt track race fan traveling to the many tracks in the area.

After retirement he flipped homes in many communities throughout the area.  He was known for his skills in fixing lawn mowers and often referred to as the Lawn Mower Man. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
