Obituary
Jack E. Gibson, 79, of Cooksville, died April 30, 2008 at 5:25AM at his residence.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 10:00AM at Wiley Cemetery in Colfax. Rev. Wendell Wardell will be officiating. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Jack was born January 22, 1929 in Downs Twp the son of William and Daisy M. Barnes Gibson. They preceded him in death. He married Madge G. Tarter on January 27, 1950 in Arrowsmith. She survives.
Also surviving are one son Michael Lee (Peg) Gibson of Saybrook; two daughters, Julia Lynn Gibson of Chicago and Linda Diane (Don) Sears of Lexington; five grandchildren, Robert Sears, Brandy Hope, Kristy Griffith, Rachael Sandage and Michael Gibson; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Jack is a Veteran of the United States Army AirCorp. He is a member of the American Legion in Colfax. He retired in 1988 after 25 years with Sears and Robuck as a serviceman.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Church of Christ in Cooksville or EMCAA.
