Jackie Ann Lubbers, 72 of Fairbury, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 11:45pm, Sunday, December 29, 2019 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Friday, January 3, 2020 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Jackie was born on October 14, 1947 in Forrest, the daughter of Merle and Lilah Mallon Righter.  She married Dick Rieger in 1969.  She later married Larry Lubbers on September 14, 1991 in Farmer City.  He survives in Irons, MI.

Also surviving are her three children, Jeff (Heidi) Rieger of Bettendorf, IA, Jason (Jessica) Rieger of Dyer, IN, and Kim Rieger of Fairbury; eight grandchildren, Alana (Wade) Fehr, Cruz and Carmen Ruiz, Joe and Lilah Rieger, Natalie, Bryce and Dylan Rieger; and one great-grandchild Cannan Fehr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert (Karel) Righter.

Jackie graduated from Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School Class of 1965 and was a graduate of Midstate College with a degree in office management.  She worked for Dr. Thomas Monfort & Associates Veterinary Clinic for over 20 years in Farmer City before her retirement.

She enjoyed many "Mom" things such as Brownies Troop Leader, doing arts and crafts with her kids, and holiday decorating.  She also enjoyed traveling, particularly in Michigan with its winter and summer beauty.  Her most favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening and canning, but most of all spoiling her grandkids.
