Chenoa: Jacob Lee "Jay" Gadberry, 73 of Chenoa formerly of Russell Springs, KY, passed away at 1:50 am, Thursday, September 18, 2008 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am, Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, following the visitation also at the memorial home in Chenoa with Pastor Christian Ricker officiating the service. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa.

Jacob was born July 24, 1935 in Russell Springs, KY the son of Albert Lee and Lola Ann (Cooper) Gadberry.

Survivors include six children; Jay Gadberry, Towanda, Julie (Marty) Lane, Chenoa, James (Tammy) Gadberry, Pontiac, Jerry (Sheila) Gadberry, Russell Springs, KY, Jeff Gadberry, Waukesha, WI, Jennifer (Dennis) Bressner, Fairbury, seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one brother; Earl Dee Gadberry, Russell Springs, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Jacob enjoyed boating, fishing and eating at "Coe's Diner" in Russell Springs. He was employed by "Weber Plumbing and Heating", Fairbury for several years prior to owning and operating "Jay's Electrical" in Russell Springs. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, KY and a Free Mason. Jay also volunteered six years for the Russell County Sheriff's department, He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to Livingston Manor, Pontiac, IL.
