Jacqueline Marie Hornsby was born January 8, 1939, in Chicago, IL. The daughter of August and Marie Howler (Szczesniak), she grew up in Forest Park, IL.
She married Ronald Hornsby, Sr, on March 9, 1957 in Forest Park. He died February 6, 2004.
Surviving are her children, Dolores Hornsby, El Paso, George (Tina) Hornsby, Waukesha, WI, Dina Hornsby, Dawn Hornsby, Ronald (Terry) Hornsby II, James (Kalene) Hornsby, all of El Paso; and son-in-law, Rodney Holzhauer, Minonk; cousin and best Friend, Barbara "Bobbie" Cortino of Romeoville; grandchildren, Staci Thomas, Desirae Hornsby, Taylor, Kailey, Jaiden, Anthony Hornsby, Amber Hornsby, Cheyenne (Greg) Bose, Jordin (Tim) Hornickel, Jacqueline (Albert) Aguinaga, Cortney (Jake) Decker, Jack, Sophie, and Ellie Hornsby. Jackie also had 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Marie Holzhauer, one grandson, George Wesley Hornsby, two brothers, Walter Howler and James Cassier.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Funeral will be 11:00 am Thursday, July 29, 2021 also at the memorial home. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Illinois, 1436 W. Randolph Ste 201, Chicago, IL 60607.
Jackie worked at McDonalds Restaurant t in Fairbury, and South Eastern Livingston County Ambulance Service. She was also a technician for over 40 years at BroMenn Regional Medical and Fairbury Hospital.
She loved her Bunco Club, and in her earlier years she enjoyed playing softball and bowling.
Jacqueline was born and raised a diehard Chicago Cubs fan.
Her greatest love was her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
