Obituary
James W. Hardesty, 69, Forrest died at 7:05 am Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his property in Eppards Point Twp, rural Chenoa.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 15, 2008, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, February 16, 2008 also at the memorial home in Fairbury, with burial to follow in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest, IL.
Jim was born December 10, 1938 in Fairbury, IL, the son of Harvey and Carrie Ruth (Sinnett) Hardesty Sr. He married Virginia Weston in Piper City, IL on June 18, 1965. She survives in Forrest.
Also surviving are three children; Debbie (Chris) Tull, Gregg (Tammy) Hardesty, Janet Hardesty all of Fairbury, IL, two brothers; Harvey (Sandy) Hardesty Jr., Pontiac, IL, Gene (Pat) Hardesty, Forrest, IL, and three grandchildren; Taylor Nicole, Cassidy Lynn and Zachary Alan all of Fairbury, IL.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Jim loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. You could always find Jim at his pond in rural Chenoa where he loved to be with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to SELCAS or American Heart Association.
