Jane Bahler, 86, Fairbury, died at 7:30 am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her residence, Fairbury.

Her funeral will be 10:00 am Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with the ministers of the church officiating.  Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Monday at the church.  The family suggests memorials be given to OSF Hospice; Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or the charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Bahler was born November 27, 1931 in Fairbury the daughter of Jacob H. and Florence Hieronymus Helmers. She married Marvin H. Bahler on March 31, 1951 in Fort Sam Houston, TX.  He survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include their children, Julie (Herman) Drayer, Bluffton, IN, Connie Bahler, Paxton, Steve (Darlene) Bahler, Fairbury, seven grandchildren, three step granddaughters, twenty-three great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren, one sister, Lois Lemna, North Manchester, IN, one brother, Bill (Darlene) Helmers, Cropsey, and one brother-in-law, Kenny Broquard.

She is preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and one sister.

Jane was a 1949 graduate of Cropsey High School.  She enjoyed her flowers but most of all, the time spent with grandchildren and family.  She helped in floral hall at the Fairbury Fair for many years and attended the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
