Jane E. Freeburg, 86, of Pontiac, died May 17, 2007 at 7:04PM at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 from 9:30-11:00AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Forrest. Funeral will be held also on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 11:00AM also at the church. Pastor Corrine Blissard will be officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Washington.
Memorials may be made to Evenglow Lodge, Evenglow Inn or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Forrest.
Jane was born June 19, 1920 in Chenoa a daughter of David M. and Emily Streid Guthrie. They preceded her in death. She married James Freeburg on May 17, 1947. He died January 30, 1986.
Surviving are her two daughters, Lynn (Allan) Young of Fairbury and Jana (Art) Lehmann of Strawn; grandchildren, Todd Young, Allison (Mark) Adamowski, Erik (Jilla) Young, Ryan Young, Janelle (Matt) Steidinger, Jodi (Brett) Beyers, Jennifer (Aaron) Wright; great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Austin Adamowski, Mariah, Jaelah, Luke Steidinger, Brooke Beyers, and Abigail Wright; one brother Edgar Guthrie of Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Jane was a homemaker until her children were grown. She then was a secretary at various businesses.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Forrest.
She enjoyed square dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed plants, flowers, crocheting and embroidering. Jane loved to bake and will be remembered fondly by her chocolate chip cookies.
