Janet Elizabeth Halsey, 65, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:51 am, Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her residence in Fairbury.

Funeral Services will be 11 am, Thursday January 10, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury; with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Township Cemetery, Forrest.

A visitation will be 10 to 11 am, prior to her funeral service also at the funeral home in Fairbury on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church of Fairbury.

Janet was born April 29, 1953 in Taylorville; the daughter of George and Georgianna (Baden) Hott. She married Donald Halsey on May 21, 1971 in Pontiac.  Her husband Don survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include one son, Kevin Halsey of Fairbury; two sisters, Joyce Stanley of Decatur; Doris Stricklen of Dexter, MO; and nephew, George Hott of Elliott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and five children.
