Towanda - Jeanne Hofmann, 87, of Towanda, passed away at 7:15 am, Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at Serenity Villa, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at Bloomington-Normal Apostolic Christian Church with ministers of the church officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:30 pm, in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 4 to 6:00pm, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa and 9 to 9:45am prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church in Bloomington-Normal. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Central Illinois, Normal.
Jeanne was born November 13, 1938 in Pontiac; the daughter of William Delbert and Leola (Phillips) Scott. She married Wilbur D. Hofmann on April 24, 1960 in Chenoa. Her husband Wilbur passed away on September 20, 2025.
Survivors include three children, Julie (Mark) McMath of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Jeff Hofmann of Towanda; Jon (Kay) Hofmann of Gridley; one brother, Bill Scott of Palm Desert, California; four sister in laws, Delores Headley of Fairbury; Erna Lou Kelly of Inverness, FL; Janet Steidinger of Pontiac; Ida (Wayne) Ziller of Fairbury; two brother in-laws, Ernie Hofmann of Fairbury; Dallas Hofmann of Downs; eight grandchildren, Ashley and Alyssa McMath, Scott Hofmann; Hannah (Jarrin) Landrus, Madison (Ryan) Filkins, Connor (Kylee) Kaupp, Carson (Kailyn) Hofmann, Grayson Hofmann; seven great-grandchildren, Ridge, Sutton, Wrenly & Slate Landrus, Stetson McMath, Landry McMath and Iyla Hofmann.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, three brother in-laws, Kenneth Headley, Bill Kelly & Richard "Dick" Steidinger, two sister in-laws, Carolyn Hofmann & Patricia Hofmann.
Jeanne was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal. She loved being with her family and could usually be found with a camera in hand, taking photos at family gatherings and special events. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
