Colfax – Jeffrey Paul Fincham, 54, of Colfax, passed away at 2:05pm, April 27, 2013, after a long battle with cancer with an upbeat and positive attitude. Jeff was his ornery self until the very end.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.

Friends may greet the family from 5-7:00pm, also on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.

Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to Advocate BroMenn Hospice.

Jeff was born January 9, 1959 in Bloomington, the son of Pete and Sandra Shoemaker Fincham.

He married Vivian Hagood on February 14, 2012. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Sandra (Tony) Fincham Tollis of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Kristin (Kurtis) Shepley of Bloomington; stepchildren, Dale Burke of Carbondale, Brandy Burke of Colfax, and Jason Reeves of Bloomington; step-grandchildren, Kyndal Shepley, Blake Dunn, Dakota Dunn, and Luke Reeves; brother Michael (Peggy) Fincham of Lake Bloomington; sister, Lezli (Dave) Merritt of Gibson City, and many close nieces and nephews.

Jeff graduated from Octavia High School in 1977.

He worked construction for many years. He was a member of Colfax United Methodist Church and the Local 143 Laborers Union, Champaign where he was a Journeyman.
