Coal City – Jerry Boice, 73, of Coal City, passed away at 7:25pm, January 17, 2025, at Arcadia Care of Morris.

His funeral will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Kathy Newnam will be officiating.

Burial will be in Irish Grove Cemetery, Greenview.

Visitation will be held from 12-1:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 also at the funeral home.

Jerry was born September 30, 1951, in Goodland, IN, the son of John and Lois Newnam Boice.

Surviving are his step-mother, Barbara Boice of Lincoln; sister, Judy (Dennis) Lampley of Benton and brother, Jason (Charlene) Boice of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and Johnny Boice.

Jerry retired after 40 years as a train engineer for EJ&E.
