Chenoa – Jessie R. Miller, 86 of Chenoa died at 6:03 pm, Monday, January 29, 2024 at his residence in Chenoa.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will take place at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Cherokee Rose K-9/ training service dogs for Veterans.

Mr. Miller was born January 23, 1938 in Hazard, KY; the son of William and Georgia (Newsome) Miller.  His parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Miller was very proud of his Cherokee heritage. His great grandfather, Jacob Miller, walked the Trail of Tears.

Survivors include his wife, Dusty Gallegos-Miller of Chenoa; his children, Diana Stonestreet of Chenoa; Don Miller of Moorehead, MN; their mother, Laura Miller of Moorehead, MN; Kevin (Debi) Miller of Middletown, OH; Debbie Brower of Tucson, AZ; Katherine (Harrison) Kamrath of Bay City, OR; Luke Lavoie of St. Helens, OR, one sister, Judy (Bob) McCullen of Streator; 25 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Jessie served our country in the United States Army between the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.
