Jimmie Ray Riley, 67 of Forrest, passed away at 10:18am, Saturday, January 23, 2021 peacefully surrounded by his loving family
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00pm , Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury . Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
Jimmie was born on November 3, 1953 in Johnsonville, IL to Harvey Riley and Viola Pennington Chambers. He married Kathy McGivney on November 16, 1985 in Louisville, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include his six kids, Jimmie (Carol) Riley of Springfield, IL, Laura Riley of Wentzville, MO, Tanya (Lonnie) Rhoads of Fairbury, Tracy Pennington of Pontiac, Keith (Kandi) Riley of Horton, MI and Albert Lee Riley of Antioch, CA; 21 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids; siblings, Kathy Isaacs of Teaberry, KY, Ken (Rita) Riley of Forrest, Rita Chambers of Logansport, IN, Vivian Thornton of Cowpens, SC, Lester (Jonda) Chambers of Teaberry, KY and John Chambers of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Jim worked at Pontiac RV for 25 years. He enjoyed working in the shop where his coworkers became like family and his employers made his job enjoyable. He enjoyed spending his leisure time camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and his two dogs and cat.
Jim was known for his excellent cooking skills and his handyman work. If Jim couldn't fix it, no one could.
