Fairbury – Joan Tredennick 96 of Fairbury, passed away at 2:58 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Monday, December 22, 2025 at First United Methodist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Charles Mendosa and Wayne Kurth officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 am, on Monday prior to the funeral also at the church in Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, First United Methodist Church of Fairbury and SELCAS all of Fairbury.
Mrs. Tredennick was born July 14, 1929 in Pontiac; the daughter of Carl and Wilmuth (Roberts) Bressner. She married John Tredennick on September 18, 1949 in Pontiac. Her husband, John preceded her in death on June 16, 2016.
Also preceding her in death are eight brothers, Francis, Donald, Kenneth, Delbert, Robert, Carl Jr., James, and Ronald Bressner, two sisters, Phyllis Gilman and Marjorie Chambliss, and John's sister, Lois Schafroth and great grandson Ethan Trainor.
Other survivors include two sons, Dennis (Sharon) Tredennick, David (Kitty) Tredennick both of Fairbury; one daughter Lori (Ron) Kampwerth of Aviston, IL; 9 grandchildren, Matt, Melanie, Kerry, Dylan, Kim, Kara, Andrew, Nathan and Lauren and 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Myrtle) Bressner, one sister, Janice Shay and sister in-law, Millie Bressner.
Joan was a 1947 graduate of Pontiac Township High School. For many years Joan could be found at K&S Sales, Fairbury where she was office manager for her husband John's auto dealership. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fairbury where she served on many women's groups. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with John and spending time with her family.
