John Andrew Bradley Jr., 75, Fairbury, died at 9:39 am Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his residence, Fairbury.

Mr. Bradley was born July 20, 1947 in Cayuga, IL the son of John Andrew and Ruth Marie Landrus Bradley.  He married Dawn Renee Haab on July 19, 1980 in Forrest, IL.  She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include four children: Lisa (Cris) Lewis, Yale, OK; Erica (Cory) Compton, Fairbury; T.J. (Brandy) Mygatt, Rockport, TX; Andy Bradley, Fairbury; eight grandchildren: Jeffry, Krisha and Lynnzee Lewis; Ella and Leah Compton; Hailee and Brea Mygatt; Brayden Bradley; three great grandchildren: Tatum, Leo and Aiden; three sisters: Judy Ford, Yale, OK; Donna (Richard) Perry, Tulsa, OK and Arlene (Clifton) Nasalroad, Yale, OK; two sisters-in-law: Mary Bradley and Kathy Hannah.

He is preceded in death by his parents;  two brothers: Robert and Daniel Bradley; one sister: Doris Heberling; one granddaughter: Paige Compton; two brothers-in-law: Frank Ford and Fletcher Hannah.

Mr. Bradley was a 1965 graduate of Octavia High School, Colfax.  He retired as a custodian at Prairie Central Schools in 2009.

Mr. Bradley was a hardworking, strong, soft-hearted and kind man.  He loved his family and was known to be teddy bear to all.  He was a soft-spoken jokester who loved to tell stories. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the family or to OSF Hospice.
