Obituary
Bloomington – John Arthur Taylor, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:35am, February 24, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Military honors will be performed by the Davis-Kerber American Legion Post 653, Colfax.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for his grandchildren.
John was born February 2, 1939 in Chicago, the son of Eugene Richard and Lulu Plank Taylor. They preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sons, Andrew (Bethany) Taylor and John Joseph Taylor; daughter, Kathy Taylor; grandchildren, Samantha and Alexandra Taylor; brothers, Richard (Audrey) of Kansas City, MO, Glenn (Kathy) of Colfax and Ramon (Debra) of Springfield.
John was a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force.
After he retired he worked in Civil Service in several areas in the United States. He also worked in property control at Illinois State University.
John was a member of the Davis-Kerber American Legion
