Fairbury – Joyce J. "June" Meints, 80, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:40pm, January 21, 2014 at Asta Care Center of Colfax.

Funeral will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Steve Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Asta Care Center, Colfax, Activity Fund or First Baptist Church of Fairbury.

June was born June 9, 1933 in Pontiac the daughter of Tault and Nona Trobaugh Howard.

She married Glenn Buchanan on December 5, 1956 in Mississippi. He died May 19, 1960. She then married Dallas Meints on September 30, 1961. He died April 7, 1994.

Surviving are her children; David (Cindy) Buchanan of Fairbury, Peggy (Darryl) Stiles of Fairbury, and Debi (Dave) Suttles of Lafayette, IN; daughter-in-law, Georgia Howard of Pontiac; grandchildren, Jenny (Rob) McCormick of WV, Mandy Howard Green of Pontiac, Toy Howard of Pontiac, David (Kaley) Buchanan of Chicago, Kelly Buchanan of Mahomet, Kyle (Kaleigh) Buchanan of Chenoa, Erin (Nick) Mool of El Paso, Bryan, Scott and Tad Fidler all of IN, Ashley Meints of Collinsville, and Betty Jo Meints of Alton; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Irene Stoddard of MT, Louise Howard of CA, and Dorothy Smith of Pontiac; and brother, Jack Howard of OR.
June was preceded in death by son, Joe Howard, daughter, Kim Meints, two brothers and one sister.

She was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Fairbury.

June worked for Owens Glass Factory in Streator, Rieger Coil Factory in Fairbury.
