Judith A. Slagel

Judith A. Slagel, 85, Fairbury, died at 8:53pm Monday, May 11, 2026 at her residence, Fairbury.

Miss Slagel was born June 30, 1940 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Raymond J. and Caroline Zimmerman Slagel.

Survivors include six brothers, Ray (Gladys) Slagel Jr., Ron (June) Slagel, Jim (Lucy) Slagel, Al (Mary Beth) Slagel, all of Fairbury, Lynn (Kathy) Slagel, Pontiac, Tim (Barb) Slagel, Washington, IL, six sisters, Kate Young, Cissna Park, IL, Loretta Slagel, Martha (Ralph) Fehr, Norma (Dennis) Fehr, Rita (Jim) Bahler, all of Fairbury, Suzanne (Rob) Folk, Forrest, IL, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Slagel.

A private family visitation will be held at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will be in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to South East Livingston County Ambulance Service.

Miss Slagel owned and operated Slagel Drapery for 42 years.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
