Chatsworth - Judith (Judy) K. Steidinger, 81, of Chatsworth died at 12:24 pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will have a celebration of her life at 12 noon, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating.

Visitation will be 10am to 12 noon, prior to the service on Saturday also at the funeral home in Fairbury. Memorial contributions may be made to: South East Livingston County Ambulance Service (SELCAS), Chatsworth Library, or the donor's choice.

Judy was born November 24, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana; a daughter of Loyal and Hazel (Kinerk) Hilsmier.

Survivors include two sons, Brian (Ann) Steidinger, Chenoa; and Todd (Billie) Steidinger, Fairbury; one daughter, Tana (Lonnie Farris) Schulz, Strawn; one sister, Lois Northrup, Irvine CA; one brother, Jerry (Linda) Hilsmier, Petersburg MI; seven grandchildren, Alyssa (Matt) Ramiller, Jordan (Rachel) Steidinger, Victoria (Blake Giles) Waddell, James Schulz, Dr. Kristen (James Russell) Steidinger, Robbie Schulz, Kyle Steidinger, and four great- grandchildren Maverick Ramiller, Jensen Steidinger, Lake Ramiller, and Harrison Steidinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Larry & Leroy Hilsmier, brother-in-law, John Northrup, and best friend and soul mate, Mike Murphy.

Judy enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling, and eating out in the area restaurants and diners.  She loved her family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her; enjoying the time she was able to spend with them.  Her smile and quick wit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
