Sioux Falls, SD – Kathleen "Kathy" M. (Moulton) Ollerich, 53, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Fairbury, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her home from an ongoing illness.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, with visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Pastor Tom Krieger will be officiating. Burial will be in Avoca Cemetery.


Kathy was born on July 6, 1957 to Bertice Jr. and Edith (Fehr) Moulton in Fairbury, IL. She married Paul D. Ollerich in 1982. They later divorced.


Surviving are her mother, Edith Moulton of Fairbury, three daughters, Megan (Jason) Scheideler and Kara (Leland) Langstraat, both of Sioux Falls, Lauren Ollerich of Salem, SD, step-daughter Krista (Ken) Parker of Yorba Linda, CA, four grandchildren, Morgan, Kaylee, Amanda and Andrew, siblings Debbie (Gerry) Brandt, Fairbury, Barbara (Chris) Rann, Bloomington, Warren (Gabriella) Moulton, Chicago and Jane (Curt) Friedman, Fairbury, three nephews, one niece, and many other family and friends. Kathy is also survived by partner James "Jim" Keeney.


She was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law Ralph Meiss.


Kathy grew up in Fairbury and attended Fairbury-Cropsey High School, graduating in 1975. Later she attended University of Illinois, where she earned an associates degree. Kathy worked in the medical field.


She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Kathy had a beautiful smile and a contagious sense of humor.
