Anchor – Kathleen Rose Maffett, 44, of Anchor, passed away at 2:36pm, January 5, 2012 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. The Reverend Stephen Goodwin will be officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.
Friends may greet the family from 4-8:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Memorials may be made to the family or St. John's Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
Kathleen was born May 17, 1967 in Chicago, the daughter of George and Linda Nolan. She married Matthew Maffett on August 11, 1990 in Danvers. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents of Minier; mother-in-law, Patricia Convis of Fairbury; children, Justin Maffett of Fairbury, Jessica Maffett of Anchor, Kaitlin (Raymond) Mancini of Minier, Jake Maffett of Champaign, and Shawn Maffett of Anchor; nine grandchildren; brothers, Randy, Rick, and Bob (Sandy) Nolan all of Minier.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law.
Kathleen was a lab technician working in various medical facilities, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor.
Kathleen was a very intelligent woman who loved to read. She loved her cats and boating.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Kathleen was a strong woman who fought her disease courageously.
