Obituary
Kathryn M. Folts, 83, of Bloomington; formerly of Chenoa area passed away at 11:30pm, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bloomington.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa with Pastor Deb Honegger officiating. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
Kathryn was born November 6, 1931 in Pontiac the daughter of Herman and Katherine (Schuirmann) Folts. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Byron Folts and brother, Col. Rudolf Folts, one great niece, Kathryn LeBuffe and one niece, Alice Folts.
Survivors include two nieces, Ann (Mike) Spalding, Houston, TX; Penny (Paul) LeBuffe, Downingtown, PA; one great niece, Denise LeBuffe, Lewisburg, PA.
Kathryn grew up in Chenoa and graduated from Chenoa High School in 1950. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois, Urbana and was a member of Phi-Beta-Kappa. She was employed for many years as Assistant to the International Vice President of Armour Pharmaceutical Co., Chicago. Later in life she returned to central Illinois and was employed by GTE-Verizon, Bloomington, retiring in December of 1991.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests that memorials be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, 423 Kay's Drive, Normal, IL 61761.
