Kathryn Kaisner Gerber, 98, Fairbury died 6:30 pm Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Church Fairbury with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury. Visitation will be 9:00 to 9:45 am Saturday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gerber was born May 9, 1909 at Edelstein, IL, the daughter of Jacob and Minnie Streitmatter Kaisner. She married Ernest Gerber June 20, 1973 at Fairbury, IL. He died July 26, 1979.
Surviving are three stepsons, Everett (Nancy) and Melvin (Mildred) Gerber both of Rockville, Connecticut, and Earl (Esther) Gerber, Forrest, IL, three stepdaughters, Rosetta (Elmer) Stoller, Forrest, IL, Betty (Burt) Ensirik, Margall Viejo,California, and Marge (Gene) Fehr, Eureka, IL. Also surviving are twenty eight step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters and one step son.
Mrs. Gerber was a homemaker and had been employed at the Keith Anderson Printing Shop in Fairbury for ten years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Morton Home for the Handicapped or Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury
