Obituary
Kathryn M. Steidinger, 81, Forrest died at 6:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2011 at her residence in Forrest.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury or a charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Steidinger was born January 11, 1930 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Peter and Katie Gerber Schaffer. She married Ivan M. Steidinger on January 15, 1956 in Forrest, IL. He survives in Forrest.
Also surviving are her children, Ray (Shelly) Steidinger, Strawn; Kathy (Dan) Banwart, Glen (Holly) Steidinger, both of Fairbury; Linda (Bob) Anliker, Forrest; Lyle (Sonia) Steidinger, Paris, France; Roger (Sheila) Steidinger, Forrest; one sister, Helen Walter; two brothers, Peter (Emma) Schaffer, and Richard (Elsie) Schaffer, all of Fairbury, thirty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wendell Dotterer, two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Steidinger was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest.
