Fairbury – Kathy Bittner, 67, of Fairbury, died at 1:48pm, May 26, 2017, at Kindred Hospital Peoria.

Cremation has been accorded.

Her funeral mass will be at 11:00am, Friday, June 2, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa. Fr. Carl LoPresti will be officiating.

Visitation will be 4-7:00pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Rosary will be recited at 3:30pm, on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Epilepsy Foundation or Fairbury VFW.

Kathy was born October 7, 1949, in Bloomington, the daughter of James Jerome and Frances Ann Harms Haas.

She married Robert Bittner on October 29, 1977, in ElPaso. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Patrick Bittner, Gainsville, FL and Sara (Kerry) Tredennick Fairbury; grandchildren, Gavin, Griffin, Garrett Tredennick and Evandale Nagono; siblings, Susie (Dan) Boian, Chenoa, Tony (Linda), ElPaso, Mary Lou (Paul) Ahrens, Normal, Lisa Sparrow, Bloomington, Matt, IL, and Jeff ElPaso;

She was preceded in death by sister, Theresa Ruble and brother, Andy.

Kathy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Gibson City and the Sunshine Club, Chenoa.
