Obituary
Colfax – Katie Kirwan, 79, of Colfax passed away at 1:45pm on May 26, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Colfax. Fr. Carl LoPresti will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington.
Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 also on Saturday at the Church.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Katie was born May 25, 1931 in Merna the daughter of Raymond and Helen Sweeney Kinsella.
She married William Kirwan on July 17, 1965 in Bloomington. He died April 10, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Mike (Darci) Kirwan of Kappa; one daughter, Mary Kirwan of Colfax; six grandchildren; and one brother, Joe Kinsella of WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Katie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Colfax and the Alter and Rosary Society.
She loved gardening, canning and crocheting.
Katie was more dedicated to her family and friends than to herself.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Colfax.
