Obituary
Ken Elliott, 82, rural Cropsey died at 7:45 pm Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Gibson Area Hospital Annex, Gibson City, IL.
Private services were held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Fairbury Mausoleum. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Livingston County Human Society, 21179 N. 1358 East Rd, Pontiac, IL 61764, Dominy Memorial Library Building Fund, 201 S. 3rd St., Fairbury, IL 61739 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Mr. Elliott was born August 21, 1927 in Cropsey, IL the son of Earl and Ruth Abbey Elliott. He married Carllene Steidinger on November 21, 1948 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in rural Cropsey. Also surviving are many special cousins.
He is preceded in death by a brother Robert who was killed in action on Guam during WWII.
Mr. Elliott was a Cropsey High School graduate and farmed his entire life on the family farm near Cropsey. With his wife Carllene they owned and operated the Country Store Collectibles antique business. He was an avid golfer for many years, winning the Indian Creek Men's Championship 6 times.
