Obituary

Kenneth J. Dunahee, 81, of Lexington passed away at 6:55 am Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.


Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 pm, Monday, February 27, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 also at the memorial home in Chenoa with Pastor Garry Gromley officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac.

Kenneth was born March 6, 1930 in Pike Twp. rural Chenoa; the son of Charles and Clara (Anderson) Dunahee. He married Beverly Gould on February 20, 1955 in Neponset, IL. She survives in Lexington.

Other survivors include one son, Brian Dunahee of rural Chenoa and one sister, Mildred Hanshew of Watseka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Douglas Dunahee, five brothers and two sisters.

Kenneth was a graduate of Chenoa High School later serving our country in the US Army in Germany during the Korean era. He was a life-long farmer in the Colfax, Lexington and Chenoa areas. Ken was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church, Lexington American Legion and was a past member of the Lexington School Board.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Lexington United Methodist Church, Lexington.
