Obituary
Kenneth R. Luering Jr., 48, Forrest and formerly of Fairbury died at 5:21pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Inurnment will take place in Avoca Twp. Cemetery, rural Fairbury at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Kenneth R. Luering Jr. memorial fund C/O Bluestem National Bank, Fairbury, IL.
Kenny was born July 9, 1962 in Chicago Heights, IL the son of Kenneth and Shirley Eustis Luering. They survive in Fairbury.
Also surviving is the love of his life, Jeanette Maurer, Forrest, IL, one sister, Denise (Chuck) Auth, Tolono, IL, one brother, Dennis (Liz) Luering, Normal, IL, three nieces and two nephews.
Kenny was employed as a truck driver. He drove the #35 street stock race car, enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and he loved to cook.
He was a beloved son, brother, companion and uncle.
