Kimberly K. Barnes - It's with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of another treasure in our family. Our dearly beloved Kim passed away Tuesday May 12, 2026 in Gulf Breeze, FL.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Kim was born February 4, 1969 in Fairbury, IL; Daughter of Ronald and Patricia Barnes.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia of Gulf Breeze, FL (previously St. Petersburg, FL), brothers, Lee (Marti) of Gulf Breeze, FL; and Brent of Fairbury as well as aunts and uncles Peggy Skinner of Westfield, IN, Herb and Janet Wiser of Hudson, IL, Jack and Patty Wiser of Fairbury, IL, and Joyce Barnes of Fort Myers, FL

She was preceded in death by her dad, Ronald Floyd Barnes and one brother, Andrew Scott Barnes, maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her uncles Gary, Dale, Lester, aunts Vonna, Betty, and Charlotte.

Kim moved to Florida after college and lived in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. Her life touched so many people from her family, friends, and coworkers. Her adventurous nature sometimes surprised us all. The quiet and shy young lady we grew up with turned into the wonderful woman that we knew. We are comforted by the time we were blessed to have her in our lives and thankful that she was welcomed into heaven. We miss her so very much.
