Kimberly P.C. Coomber, 61, Fairbury, died at 8:26 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

A celebration of her life will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  The family suggests memorials be given to the Prairie Central Athletic Boosters.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa.

Kim was born February 24, 1958 in Chicago the daughter of Arden and Betty Klein Kaskavage.  She married Paul E. Coomber on July 2, 1976 in Tonawanda, NY.  He survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include her children, Kristy Coomber, Chenoa, John (Miranda) Coomber, Forrest, Breanna (Patrick) Smith, Fairbury, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister, Carol Border of Bloomington.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Kim was a 1988 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse at Fairbury Hospital, Dr. Orville Hable Medical Office, Metcalf preschool focusing on children with disabilities and most recently at the Livingston County Health Clinic, Pontiac.

Kim was a huge Prairie Central Hawk and Chicago Cubs fan.  She was lovingly known as Nana to her grandchildren and she enjoyed attending all of their sporting events.
