Obituary

Kyoko Kedabana Kline, 65, of Saybrook formerly of Ava, IL passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Heritage Manor, Colfax with her family by her side.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a private family graveside inurnment to be held at a later date in Dawson Cemetery, Ellsworth, IL. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Heritage Manor, Colfax.

Kyoko was born on April 26, 1944 in Yaeyama, Japan, the daughter of Eiho and Hisako Kedabana. She married Robert D. Kline Jr. on April 30, 1965 in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. They later moved to Illinois to raise their family. She was employed as a clerk at "Oriental Foods" in Carbondale after moving to Illinois. In the six years that she was employed there she met many new friends which she enjoyed so much.

Survivors include her husband; Robert D. Kline Jr., Saybrook, two daughters; Wendy (Ken) Wilber, LeRoy and Barbara Kline, Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter; Angela Kline.

Kyoko was a devoted wife and mother who found happiness in raising Scottish Terriers as a hobby. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano for her church. She loved cooking native food for others and enjoyed working in her flower garden and living in the country.

Her brief battle with cancer was handled with a positive attitude until the very end. She was an encouragement to all who knew her and handled her illness with ultimate grace, always encouraging others to be faithful to the Lord. She will be greatly missed in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
