Fairbury – Larry Leroy Carls, 74 of Fairbury, passed away at 7:53 pm, Friday, December 1, 2017at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating.

Visitation with the family will be 10 to 11:15 am, prior to the service on Thursday also at the church in Fairbury.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Larry Carls.

Larry was born February 2, 1943 in Springfield; an only child to Donald and Lillian (McBrayer) Carls.  He married Carolyn McCoy on June 28, 1963 in Pontiac.  His wife, Carolyn survives in Fairbury.

Also surviving are his children, Todd Carls of Fairbury; Theresa (Barry) Chavez of Pontiac; Troy (Anna Aylor) Carls of Fairbury; Tammi (Bobby Barrett) Kupferschmid of Fairbury; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
