Pontiac – Larry G. Corban, 69 of Pontiac passed away at 6:32 pm, on Monday, October 17, 2022, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Larry was born on November 9, 1952, in Fairbury, the son of Gene and Phyllis (Pearson) Corban. He married Joy Ragland on September 21, 1985 in Chatsworth. His wife Joy, survives in Pontiac.

Other survivors include his children, Jeremy (Kelly) Corban of Cornell; Katie Corban of Pontiac; one granddaughter, Alexandra "Alex" Hansen of Cornell; and one brother, James (Debra) Corban of Greeley, CO.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Chatsworth United Methodist Church, Chatsworth; with Pastor Lynette Barnett officiating. Burial will follow the service in Chatsworth Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10am to 12:45pm, prior to the funeral on Saturday, October 22, 2022 also at the church in Chatsworth.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Larry G. Corban.

Larry was a graduate of Pontiac Twp. High School and later was employed as a service technician for Peterson Chevrolet in Fairbury for over 18 years.

Larry enjoyed fast cars and boats and was a true "Gearhead".  In his free time, he enjoyed building and tinkering with his H.O. scale train set-up.  Larry loved his family and his mischievous smirk and tender heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
